About Crow Entertainment

How long has Crow Entertainment been in business?
Since 1997, nearly three decades. We're a full-time, family-owned DJ, photo booth, and event production company based in Huntingtown, Maryland.
What areas do you serve?
Two home regions. In the Mid-Atlantic we cover Delmarva (Delaware and the Eastern Shore of Maryland & Virginia), Washington DC and the wider DMV, Southern Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. In the Texas Hill Country / Central Texas we cover the Austin–San Antonio corridor, including Fredericksburg, Boerne, Wimberley, Dripping Springs, Marble Falls, and Kerrville.
What services do you offer?
DJ and MC services, the photo booth, and full event production: uplighting, drape, monogram projection, slideshows, and cold sparks. Book any one of them, or combine all three into a single package handled by one team.
Are you a full-time, professional company?
Yes. Crow is family-owned and full-time, and every DJ, photo booth specialist, and production tech under our name is vetted, trained, and fully insured. We never sub your event out to whichever freelancer is cheapest.
Do you have awards or industry credentials?
We've earned The Knot Best of Weddings and WeddingWire Couples' Choice for 15+ consecutive years, plus Best of Southern Maryland. We're members of the American Disc Jockey Association (ADJA) and the Calvert County Chamber of Commerce.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes. We offer discounts for military, teachers, first responders, and nurses. Just mention it when you reach out.

DJ & Music

How much does a DJ cost?
DJ packages range from $300 to $6,000 depending on the services included. Most weddings in the DMV land between $1,500 and $3,500, while Central Texas weddings average $1,600 to $4,500. Pricing is fully customizable to your event.
Do your DJs also MC and make announcements?
Yes. Every Crow DJ handles more than music: ceremony sound, MC and announcement duties, crowd reading, and keeping the reception flowing naturally from one moment to the next.
Can we choose the music and give a do-not-play list?
Absolutely. During planning you'll shape the playlist, your must-plays, and your do-not-play list. The DJ guiding your event is the same person you meet during planning.
Is your music properly licensed?
Yes. All of our music is legally purchased at the highest bit rate through Promo Only®, our licensing source.

Photo Booth

What photo booth styles do you offer?
Three: a fully enclosed booth, a glam-style booth (Old-Hollywood black-and-white portraits), and a custom open-décor booth built around your event design.
Is the photo booth staffed?
Yes. A real Crow attendant runs the photo booth from setup through teardown. No kiosks, no "set it and walk away." Props are matched to your event style.
Can we customize the backdrop?
Yes. Browse our lookbook to pick a backdrop, with add-on options like curtains, florals, and signage. We confirm your specific picks during planning.

Production & Lighting

What production and lighting services do you offer?
LED uplighting, bistro and globe string lighting, custom monogram projection, pipe & drape, slideshow production, and cold sparks, all plotted to your venue's floor plan.
Are cold sparks safe?
Yes, when they're done right. We run top-of-the-line, operator-controlled cold-spark units with a measured safety zone every time. Cheap machines run by inexperienced operators are a real risk. That's not what we do.
Can we bundle DJ, photo booth, and production together?
Yes. We offer packages that combine services such as DJ, photo booth, and lighting, fully customizable to fit your day. Discounts may apply when combined.

Booking & Planning

How do we book, and what's the process?
Start with our contact form. We'll follow up, talk through your date and vision, and confirm your booking. In-office consultations are included, plus a venue walk-through when we haven't worked your venue before.
Do you do venue walk-throughs?
When it helps. For a new venue we confirm power, cable runs, drape anchor points, and projection throw distances before event day. If we've already worked your space and know the layout, we may skip it.
Do you also restore old video and photos?
That's our sister service. Crow Digital Services handles digitizing of VHS, film, tapes, slides, and more. Find it at crowdigitalservices.com.
